
Auditions for the first Short Film will be on Thursday, 12/5 after school in the auditorium. The audition will be cold reads no need to prepare anything. If you're unable to attend the audition please contact Mr. A. J. Casey and he will set up an alternative audition for you.

Educators Rising is hosting a Children’s Book Drive - now through December 16. 1st periods are challenged to bring in new or gently used books - the 1st period with the most books WINS A DONUT PARTY! Start bringing in books TODAY!

The FBLA Friendsgiving Meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, 26, after school in B110. We will have pizza and write cards for veterans. Then, we will go to the Arlington neighborhood to deliver hot chocolate and thank them for being great neighbors. Then we will meet at Showplace at 7 to watch Red One. You must have your own ride.


HCHS JROTC earned 2nd place in the advanced shooter sporter division and 4th place in the new shooter sporter division. 1st place overall individual advanced shooter was Christian Mayes. He shot a 261 out of 300. He outperformed 82 cadets on 21 teams. Addison Mckenzie took 3rd place for overall individual in the new shooter category with a 236 out of 300.


The Bowling Lady Colonels swept Owensboro last night 7-0. Natalie Butler led the team with a career-high 164 games while Brady Francke added a personal best of 140. Unfortunately, the Bowling Colonels ran into a hot Owensboro team and fell 6-1 with two games decided by a total of 9 pins. Zane Wilson’s 225-game led the Colonels. The next match is on December 5th against Evansville North at Arc Lanes.

Health Science is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, December 17th, from 8:30 to 1:30 in the aux gym. If you are interested in donating, please see Dana Alves in T212. You can donate at 16 years of age with parent permission. Remember… one pint of blood can save three lives!


FCCLA students- don’t forget our November meeting is this Thursday after school in room T203. Plan to wear an FCCLA shirt on Thursday and we hope to see you there!

Juniors and Parents interested in attending Henderson Community College’s Jump Start Program during their Senior Year are welcome to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 6:00 in the HCHS Media Center.


Mrs. Kara Becker from HCC will be outside the lunch room tomorrow to answer questions about the Henderson Community College Early College Academy and the new Jump Start program.
