
Congratulations to the Colonel and Lady Colonel Wrestling on a successful weekend at the State Dual Tournament! The Colonels finished in 9th place going 2-2 on the day, while the Lady Colonels continued to make history as they placed 4th in the first-ever Girls State Dual Tournament!
Both teams will be back in action tomorrow in Colonel Gym against Apollo, Ft Campbell, and Owensboro at 5:30 pm. It will also be Senior night so everyone come out tomorrow and support our Colonel and Lady Colonel Wrestlers.

The Mock Trial team competed at Regionals in Owensboro this weekend. Zane Wilson received the team's top attorney award and Wren Stephenson received the team's top witness award.
Other students also received Star attorney and witness awards. Zane Wilson, Cadyn Conrad, and Reagan Hatfield were the star attorneys. Kate Mays, Katherine Cartwright, Jack Stocking, and Nadia Heitkemper were the star witnesses.


On Friday, January 31st, Coach Proctor and Coach Urban will hold the first 6 a.m. weight-lifting session for all current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders interested in playing football next year. Breakfast will be provided following the workout.


Support our Henderson County Dance Team as they compete in the NDA (National Dance Alliance) Western Kentucky Regional tomorrow 1/25/25 at 10:45 am CST at Henderson County High School Gym.

Congratulations to our Bowling Lady Colonels on beating Owensboro 5-2 last night. Grace Bumgardner’s 161 games led the Ladies. The Lady Colonels JV squad also won 4-0. Meanwhile, our Bowling Colonels also won 4-3. Zane Wilson’s 254 games led the Colonels, while Cameron Scherretz, Kyle Hendricks, and Liam Price each threw personal best games of 224, 212, and 195. Unfortunately, the Colonels JV squad fell to the Red Devils 0-7. Next up are the Bowling Regionals in Paducah on January 31st and February 1st.


The next DECA meeting is Monday 1/27 after school until 4:15 pm in T100. This meeting is for students attending Regionals. Parents are also invited to attend.


The Prom Committee will meet on Tuesday morning, January 28 in R212 at 7:15; all seniors are invited to be on the Prom Committee. Questions? See Mrs. Stovall.


Educators Rising is meeting Monday, January 27; from 3:30 - 4:15 in R210. Dues will be collected and sign-ups for upcoming outings will be available. Remember, the state competition is March 5.


Students taking the ASVAB exam this Thursday need to report to the auxiliary gym at 8:00 am. Testing will begin at 8:15 am.


The Leo Club will have a club meeting this Thursday, January 23, after school in R107.


Any student interested in attending KUNA in March will have a meeting in R203 from 3:30 to 4:30 today. See Ms. Allison for more information!


Congratulations to our Bowling Colonels on defeating Evansville North last night 4-3 on Seniors Night. The Colonels were led by Zane Wilson’s 216 with Aidan Hines rolling a personal best game of 175. Unfortunately, our Lady Colonels fell to the defending Indiana State champion Lady Huskies 7-0. Our Lady Colonels were led by Grace Bumgardner’s game of 175, which was also a personal best game for her. Next on the schedule is the Owensboro Red Devils next Thursday in Owensboro.


There will be no D & D Club tomorrow 1/17/25.


FBLA will be having its monthly meeting next Tuesday, January 21st. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. This will also be the deadline to sign up for competitions, so make sure you get with Ms. Robinson in B110 so you can compete!


Henderson County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.


Tennis Conditioning begins Next Tuesday, January 21, at 4 p.m. at the YMCA Tennis Courts. Participants must have a current physical on file with the athletic department.


This is a reminder to seniors and senior parents that Brandi Forker, KHEAA Rep, will be in the media center tonight January 14 at 5 p.m. if you need help completing your FAFSA.


Seniors, please check out the Google Form in the Class of 2025 Google Classroom to get your name printed correctly on your diploma. Please do this by the end of the day on January 21st.
