SMS: Free Dress Day tomorrow (9/9/25)! Please read through the expectations to avoid any dress code issues on our 1st free dress day. No rips/tears in clothing, no leggings/tight fitting clothing, no pajamas/house shoes. Shorts must come to the top of the knee. Students can wear crocs, slides, etc. Please follow District Dress code outlined in the HCS Code of Conduct.
Relatives Raising Relatives Support Group
If you’re raising a child as a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or another relative, you’re not alone! Our support groups begin this September—join us to connect with others, share resources, and find the encouragement you need.

SMS: Students who have their house shirts from last year can wear them to school tomorrow! New shirts will be given out on Friday but either can be worn on Mondays! No belt needed when wearing house shirts.
SMS: Our SMS Sweatshirts have arrived and we have them available now through 6pm today at SMS. Shirts will be available at the lobby counter. Youth Large- $13, Adult Small - XL - $14. Cash or check only. Students can also purchase once we are back in school.
SMS: 7th/8th grade schedule pickup will be tonight from 4-6 . In order to pick up your schedule early you will need to have Online Registration Completed and have fees paid ($25 Chromebook & $5 Science Fee). Fees can be paid online with a card or in person with cash/check. Please enter at the main entrance door. Parent/guardian and/or student must be present to pick up schedule.
SMS: We are so excited to see our 6th grade Bulldogs tomorrow for Bulldog University 12:30 - 3:30. Students do not have to be in uniforms. Students can be dropped off out front of the school prior to 12:30 and enter in the main entrance. (program will begin at 12:30) Pickup will be at 3:30. Students can bring school supplies on the first day of school.

SMS: TUESDAY is our last house rally at SMS. Students/staff are encouraged to wear their house shirts with extreme house colors. Students must be in their house color to be out of uniform. SMS: This week, 6th and 7th grade students will be filling out a form requesting their t-shirt size for their house shirt for next year. We want to make sure everyone has a shirt that they can wear all year long for House days and rallies! We will offer Youth M - Youth XL and Adult XS - XXXL. Thanks!

SMS: Our Bulldogs are almost Colonels! We want to make sure all of our 8th graders get all of their "to do " list completed before our last day. SMS: The 8th grade dance is almost here! May 3 6:00-8:00pm. Doors will open at 6pm and parents can come in to snap a few pictures. Tickets will go on sale Monday at the lobby counter before school. The cost is $10. Tickets will be on Sale Monday - Thursday. Snacks/drinks, DJ, and photo booth are provided.
SMS: Tonight is the "Becoming a Colonel" night at HCHS. 5-7. Due to cheer tryouts in the main gym, they are encouraging families to park in the back and enter in through the CTE/South Entrance. The front doors will also be open. This is a great night to learn more about HCHS!
SMS: REMINDER: Field trip permission slips and money are due Thursday. Requirements for the trip are stated on the slip. Students can get an extra copy from any 8th grade teacher if needed.
