SMS: The 8th grade dance is almost here! May 3 6:00-8:00pm. Doors will open at 6pm and parents can come in to snap a few pictures. Tickets will go on sale Monday at the lobby counter before school. The cost is $10. Tickets will be on Sale Monday - Thursday. Snacks/drinks, DJ, and photo booth are provided.

SMS: Tonight is the "Becoming a Colonel" night at HCHS. 5-7. Due to cheer tryouts in the main gym, they are encouraging families to park in the back and enter in through the CTE/South Entrance. The front doors will also be open. This is a great night to learn more about HCHS!

SMS: REMINDER: Field trip permission slips and money are due Thursday. Requirements for the trip are stated on the slip. Students can get an extra copy from any 8th grade teacher if needed.

SMS: We are so excited to welcome back our students after Spring Break! Please do not forget to charge your Chromebooks! Tomorrow is Monday so students/staff can wear house shirts with uniform bottoms. Reminder that shorts must come to the top of the knee. We cannot wait to see our students in the morning!

Congratulations to the House of Isibindi for being named the 3rd Nine Weeks House Champion! In typical fashion we are all going to celebrate their success together - all students/staff are asked to wear ISIBINDI green (kelly green) w/ uniform bottoms on Thursday, April 3!! BINDI!!

SMS: Read Across America Day #4: In "The Seventh and Most Important Thing" Arthur learns that often there is more than meets the eye. He uncovers talents that are now being put to good use while helping someone in need. The black house knows all about giving of their talents! Wear a black shirt with uniform bottoms.

SMS: Read Across America Day #3 (3/6/25): In "The One and Only Ivan," the characters demonstrate what is means to have a friend. The House of Amistad 's motto is "Be a Friend." Wear a red shirt with uniform bottoms to support friendship.

SMS: Read Across America Day #2 (3/5/25): In the book "Wonder," Auggie shows us how to have courage and stand up for himself. Show others your courageous side, like the House of Isibindi and wear a green shirt with uniform bottoms.

SMS: Read Across America Day #1 (3/4/25): Just like in "Esperanza Rising," we should not lose sight of our dreams and what it means to work hard. Dream Big is the motto of the Blue house. Wear a BLUE shirt with uniform bottoms tomorrow!

SMS: 8th grade parents!! HCHS Scheduling Night is tomorrow night at 5:30pm at HCHS. This is a very important night for students in terms of scheduling and they will receive their schedule book tomorrow night. Students will also tour CTE pathways. It will be a great night and will help with HCHS transition.s.
